Timeline: 3–4 Weeks (Iterative Development)
OVERVIEW
TRAIL is a transitional living program supporting youth ages 16–21. This project focused on creating a consistent, scalable communication system to improve clarity, engagement, and trust across program materials.
The Problem
Youth in transitional programs face multiple simultaneous expectations—education, employment, housing, and financial stability—often without clear structure.
Existing materials were inconsistent across staff and environments, making communication harder to follow and reducing overall program clarity.
The Insight
Progress becomes manageable when it’s broken into visible, achievable steps.

Problem
TRAIL required a visual identity that could:
-
Communicate stability and guidance without feeling institutional
-
Appeal to youth and program partners simultaneously
-
Scale across small digital uses and large-format signage
Concept
The logo centers on the idea of a trail as both a literal and metaphorical path. Clean geometry and restrained forms reinforce clarity and trust, while color choices introduce approachability and forward momentum.
Color
The color system balances trust and approachability, with a restrained accent color used to guide attention rather than dominate the visual hierarchy.
